The First Screening Is Live
The moment The Celluloid Lounge moved beyond plans, conversations, and possibilities—and invited its first audience into the dark.
September 15, 2026
Today, tickets became available for the first official screening presented by The Celluloid Lounge™.
For a long time, TCL existed as an idea tied to a place I was still trying to find: a small theater with its own screen, its own atmosphere, and a community built around the shared experience of watching a film together.
That permanent home is still the dream. But I reached a point where I realized we didn’t have to wait for the walls before we started creating what was meant to happen inside them.
So, on October 15, The Celluloid Lounge will present Screamwalkers at Paragon Coral Square in Coral Springs—a special screening followed by a live filmmaker Q&A with Sean Q. King.
Choosing Screamwalkers as our first film feels deeply personal. Sean and I have been friends for years, and he gave me one of my first real opportunities in the film industry. We’ve worked together as filmmakers, and his influence helped shape my own path.
Beginning this chapter of TCL with one of his films feels like the right way to honor where I came from while taking the first step toward where this is going.
The room holds only 49 people. It isn’t the permanent theater I’ve imagined, but perhaps that’s exactly what makes this first night right. It will be intimate. Every seat will matter.
Everyone in that room will be part of the moment when The Celluloid Lounge moves beyond plans, sketches, conversations, and possibilities—and becomes something people can actually experience.
This is more than tickets going on sale.
It is the first invitation.
The doors may not be ours yet, but the evening will be.

Why It Mattered
The first invitation has been sent.
The Celluloid Lounge no longer existed only as an idea for a future room. For the first time, there was a film, a date, a screen, and an audience being asked to gather.
The next chapter begins when the lights go down.
